Operation Truth forum concludes in Cuba

Havana, January 22 (RHC)-- The international conference New Operation Truth concluded its debates, but the alternative media's battle for truthfulness continues, said the president of the Latin American news agency Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González.

González thanked the communication professionals from more than 30 countries who participated in the event to exchange their experiences and projects, as well as to debate on the most pressing problems of the alternative press to the Western hegemony.

The executive acknowledged the participation of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who highlighted the need to keep Operation Truth active to defend and show the reality of progressive nations.

He assured that Prensa Latina, in spite of economic limitations, is committed to coordinate and promote media initiatives to defend the realities of the oppressed peoples.

He also thanked the work of the pan-Arab media Al Mayadeen, co-organizer of the meeting, which fulfilled its objectives.

The debates are over, but participants will still be able to visit places of cultural and historical interest on the island, so they can see with their own eyes the country's efforts to establish a more just society.
