Cuba and Rwanda signed memorandum for health cooperation

Havana, March 6 (RHC) The Governments of Cuba and Rwanda ratified the common will to strengthen their ties in the field of Health, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between their heads of the sector, José Ángel Portal and Sabin Nsanzimana.

The Cuban minister stressed that the agreements contribute to a better future in vital and sensitive mutual cooperation programs, in areas such as the training of human resources, the strengthening of health systems, teaching and research. He also urged sharing common experiences and strengthening ties between the two countries that allow them to face the health problems of their inhabitants.

Nsanzimana recognized the Cuban Health system and valued the relations in that sector as favorable, and concluded that the signing of the memorandum is only the beginning of a long path of alliances in the health, teaching and assistance spheres.

Last November, a Cuban delegation headed by the Vice President of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa, the First Vice Minister of Public Health, Tania Margarita Cruz, made a visit to Rwanda, focused on expanding bilateral relations. (Source: ACN)
