Saluda Cuba anniversary of the independence of Cape Verde

 

Havana, July 5 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Ministry issued a congratulatory message to Cape Verde, which today celebrates its independence.

"Cuba congratulates the people and government of Cape Verde on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of its Independence," reads the text published on the social network X by Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"We ratify our will to continue strengthening the ties of friendship between both nations," it adds.

Cape Verde proclaimed its independence from Portugal on July 5, 1975, after a strong emancipation movement that confronted the natives with the metropolis and the so-called Carnation Revolution in the European nation. (Source: PL)
