Quito, October 9 (RHC) -- The Ecuadorian Minister of Economic and Social Inclusion Betty Tola and Cuban Education Deputy Minister Irene Rivero signed a cooperation agreement in the areas of special attention to the disabled and child development.

Tola told Prensa Latina news agency that there is a precedent of cooperation in these areas between both countries, therefore the agreements signed on Wednesday will help strengthen the existing collaboration.

The agreement states that Cuban professionals would go to Ecuador to provide assistance in the development of policies aimed at helping people with disabilities and children up to three years old, the minister added.

Meanwhile, Rivero explained that although Cuba will be providing assistance to Ecuador, working together will constitute a learning experience for professionals in the island.
