Cuban President sends message to high-level meeting in China
Havana, Jul 12 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has sent a message to the Second High-Level Meeting of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development being held in China, the Cuban Foreign Ministry announced today.
At the opening of the event, a video message of the President was presented, in which he calls for the promotion of development as the central axis of the system of international relations, the coordination of effective cooperation to reduce inequality gaps and to advance in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this meeting, and in particular the Global Development Initiative, represents for Cuba a valuable space for the promotion of exchanges and cooperation at the global level.
The Caribbean nation's delegation to the event will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia, who will also complete a bilateral program that includes meetings with authorities from the Asian giant.
This year's edition of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development brings together high-level representatives from more than 50 nations and international organizations.
The main activities include five parallel sub-forums on the eight key areas of cooperation of the Global Development Initiative. (Source: Prensa Latina)
