Immigration in Panama suspends visa process for Cubans

Panama City, July 12 (RHC) Due to vulnerabilities in the system, Panama's National Migration Service (SNM) has temporarily suspended online procedures for granting visas stamped to foreigners of Cuban nationality, it was reported today.

According to the official statement, the measure will be extended this month of July, so the process of requesting appointments and obtaining the stamped visa for foreigners of Cuban nationality has been temporarily disabled.

The new director of Panama's National Migration Service, Roger Mojica, assured that the institution is committed to transparency in these procedures and stressed the importance of complying with the country's migration laws, always respecting human rights.

The entity emphasized in its message that once the technical situation is resolved, the applicants can resume the process of acquiring the Cuban stamped visa at the National Migration Service headquarters in the Panamanian capital.

This measure aims to guarantee a safe migration process and in accordance with the regulations in force, ensuring that all applications are properly processed once the system is restored, the document states. (Source: PL)
