Valdés Mesa attends Agri-Food Commission discussions

Havana, July 15 (RHC) Vice President of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa, attends today, in this capital, the debates of the Agri-food Commission, as a preview of the Third Ordinary Period of Sessions of the X Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP).

From the Havana Convention Palace, Alberto Lopez Diaz, Minister of Food Industry, will present the report of the highest audit of the Ministry he heads.

The results of the sugar harvest in the period 2023-2024 and the progress of the Government Plan to correct distortions and boost the economy in the sector will be presented.

Ramón Aguilar Betancourt, president of the Agri-Food Commission, will present an analysis of 10 companies classified as exporting poles, while Ydael Pérez Brito, head of Agriculture, will address the behavior of agreement X/37 of the ANPP referred to the business system and its economic development at the end of June of this year.

The representatives of the ministries involved and the Azcuba Sugar Group will address the treatment of the previous processes of accountability and the delegates' dispatches to their constituents.

José Ramón Monteagudo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of the Agro-food Department, will also participate in the debates.

During this Monday and until July 16, the Permanent Working Commissions of the Cuban Parliament will meet (Source: ACN).
