Havana, July 31 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla today condemned the assassination of the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, and said that the attack in Tehran is a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Through his X account, the minister conveyed condolences to the Palestinian people, family and friends of Haniyeh, who was visiting the Iranian capital to attend the presidential inauguration of Masud Pezeshkian which took place on Tuesday.

Rodríguez Parrilla stressed that the assassination, announced by the Iranian authorities in the early hours of today, further aggravates the current war situation in the Middle East region.

Maher Al-Taher, head of International Relations of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said that the attack is attributed to Israel, and in this regard he expressed that this country has once again crossed red lines and put the region on the brink of war.  (Source: ACN)
