Díaz-Canel expresses solidarity with Brazil and Lula for plane crash

Havana, August 10 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed solidarity with the people and Government of Brazil for the death of more than 60 people in a plane crash in the state of Sao Paulo.

In his account on X, the president conveyed condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims of the tragic event in which 57 passengers and four crew members of an ATR-72-500 operated by the Voepass Airlines lost their lives.

“I express my full solidarity with the people of Brazil and the government of President (Luis Inácio) Lula for the fatal plane crash that occurred in Sao Paulo. To the families and friends of the victims, our deepest condolences,” Díaz-Canel wrote on that social network.

Flight 2283, of the crashed aircraft, departed from Cascavel airport, in the state of Paraná (south) and was bound for Guarulhos, in Sao Paulo in the southwest of the South American giant.   (Source: Prensa Latina)
