Sucre, August 11 (RHC) --The start of a day for the 98th anniversary of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, brought together Bolivian doctors and residents of our country in the highland nation this Sunday at the Cuban embassy in Bolivia.
Dozens of Bolivian professionals graduated from the Latin American School of Medicine -ELAM-, in Cuba together with their families, members of the Cuban community in Bolivia and officials of the diplomatic mission shared in a cultural political evening, led by the chargé d'affaires, Yohanelis Gutiérrez.
Representing the graduates, the president of the Bolivian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba-La Paz, Dr. Alidson Gómez, referred to the experiences of today's health professionals on the Caribbean island with their teachers and in many of the houses where they were welcomed fraternally by the population.
The mark of solidarity that the attention of the author of History Will Absolve Me left on many of them was the focus of the talks among the attendees.
On behalf of the Cuban state mission in Bolivia, it was highlighted that this anniversary is commemorated two years after the centenary of Fidel Castro.
In this sense, the validity of the concept of Revolution bequeathed by the leader of the Cuban people was emphasized in regards to the meaning of the historical moment.
"Revolution is defending values in which one believes at the price of any sacrifice (...)", it was insisted.
In relation to the aggressiveness of the United States with a multiplied economic, commercial and financial blockade and the inclusion of Cuba's name in the unilateral list of sponsors of terrorism by that Government, the call to increase the fight for its elimination was reiterated.
For this Monday, the Guevarist Movement-Bolivia is organizing a conference based at the Andrés Bello Convention with panelists who will address the figure of Fidel Castro as a statesman and revolutionary builder of socialism in Cuba.
Likewise, his performance as an anti-imperialist and internationalist example and guide will be addressed. (Source: Prensa Latina).
