Havana, August 14 (RHC) --The political stature of the statesman and exceptional human being who was the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016), continues to be at the epicenter of the tribute offered in multiple latitudes for the 98th anniversary of his birth (August 13th).

Messages of recognition for the sovereign and emancipatory legacy of the Commander in Chief of that revolutionary process of great significance in Cuba and the world are circulating on social networks and in numerous media outlets.

Thus, in Bolivia, Panama, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Argentina and other Latin American nations, Fidel's contributions to the achievement of their independence or the consolidation of liberation movements in the American continent were recognized.

In the Bolivarian nation, Foreign Minister Yván Gil praised the transcendental life of the Cuban and universal leader, while Argentine graduates on the island expressed their gratitude to the Cuban guerrilla, whose legacy is visible today in hundreds of social missions.

Meanwhile in Ecuador, members of the state mission, friends of the island and Cuban residents in that country, as well as representatives of political and social organizations paid tribute to the former president at the Cuban embassy in Quito  . (Source: Prensa Latina)
