Cuba activates new Electronic Visa Platform
Havana, Aug. 15 (RHC) Cuba's Tourism Minister Juan Carlos García said Wednesday that the country guarantees security, greater agility and simplification in visa application processes with the activation of a new electronic visa platform.
The head of the social network X said that the Evisa platform is "modern and secure" and also allows users to start their procedures online from any device connected to the Internet.
The electronic tool was presented last May during the International Tourism Fair and its objective is to improve efficiency and security in all stages of the process, from application to border control.
Likewise, the platform will make it possible to offer a more efficient and agile service to users who request it through Cuban consular offices abroad, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry's website Cubaminrex.
The publication adds that Evisa saves the user from managing physical documents and represents another step in the modernization of the Caribbean country's consular system. (Source: Prensa Latina)
