Cuban hotels among the best in the world

Havana, Aug. 20 (RHC) The Iberostar Grand Packard in Havana and the Mystique Trinidad La Popa by Royalton in Trinidad were ranked today as the fifth and 19th best hotels in the world, respectively.

The Best Hotels in the World (2024) award, based on surveys conducted by the travel website Tripadvisor, placed these hotels in its preferred list of the 25 best establishments (previously, Cuban resorts have been awarded in several surveys of this type, along with beaches and other tourist products).

The Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best Titie celebrate the highest level of excellence in travel.

They are awarded to those that receive a high volume of excellent reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period (out of its eight million listings, when less than one percent reach this milestone).

The first of the Cuban winners is the Iberostar Grand Packard, a luxury and sustainable hotel located in the heart of Havana. It appears in the panorama of the capital of the island, very close to the bar-restaurant Floridita, famous for the latent presence of the American writer Ernest Hemingway, La Bodeguita del Medio and other emblematic places of Cuban tourism.

As part of the Spanish hotel company's urban hotel offer, the Iberostar Grand Packard stands out because it belongs to the Grand category, the most luxurious of the company's offerings.

Located in the central Paseo del Prado, in the heart of Havana, its model of responsible tourism focuses on people and the oceans, thanks to the Wave of Change movement launched in 2017 with three lines of action: circular economy, promotion of responsible fish consumption and care for coastal health.   (Source: Latin Press)
