Havana, August 21 (RHC) -- The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) has ratified its unwavering support for the Bolivarian people of Venezuela and its president Nicolás Maduro Moros, democratically elected at the polls on July 28, 2024.

In a statement published by the organization, the island's women's organization rejects the maneuvers of the empire, executed by the neoliberal ultra-right of Venezuela, which seeks to intimidate and subdue the Venezuelan people.

"Venezuelan women believe and trust in the Bolivarian Revolution, with the same intensity that the Revolution and its president Nicolás Maduro believe in their women," the document adds.

"We Cubans join the brave, the patriots, those who do not beg on their knees for power and money.  From the land of Mariana, Celia and Vilma, we declare our unrestricted support and solidarity with the sister people of Venezuela, and its heroic women, those who have always shown that principles are not negotiable, those who resist the pressures of unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States Government, in its excessive attempt to undermine the dignity of Venezuelans."

The FMC concludes that "we have no doubt about the arrogance of the empire. We all know its dirty maneuvers, its unscrupulous foreign policy.   We know that there is not, and will not be, any other path than tireless struggle, solidarity and the defense of the region as a zone of peace.  Venezuela is not alone.  It will always be accompanied by the reason and morality of the just peoples of the planet."   (Source: Granma)
