Governments of Cuba and Lebanon review bilateral relations

Havana, September 5 (RHC) The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Beirut, Jorge León, and the acting director for Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, Carla Hassoun, reviewed this Thursday the level of bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the parties confirmed the perspectives and mutual will to deepen coordination in multilateral forums and international events.

On the occasion, León took the opportunity to express concern about the unpredictable consequences of the attacks against Lebanon in the face of the dangerous Israeli escalation. He also reiterated his gratitude for Lebanon's support against the US blockade of Cuba and its demand for the exclusion of the Caribbean island from the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism.

According to the Cuban representation, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue deepening mutually beneficial ties for Cuba and Lebanon. (Source: Prensa Latina)
