Cuba has advocated in international forums for the creation of two states that would allow Palestinians to exercise self-determination and establish an independent sovereign state within pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital

Havana, October 2 (RHC) Young people from Cuba today are taking part in a national support day for Palestine, which will last until October 7, the day when the Israeli military campaign against Gaza started, killing more than 41,000 people.

The call, launched by the Cuban Union of Young Communists on Monday, urges people not to remain indifferent and to unite in defense of Palestine's cause, a year after the attack in the coastal enclave. During the week, various events will take place to reaffirm Cuba's solid solidarity with Palestine's struggle.

Israeli attacks on Gaza have spread to Lebanon, where Israeli warplanes continue to attack in all regions, particularly in the south, Beqaa and southern suburbs of Beirut in a bloody escalation with unpredictable consequences.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned the incursion of the Israeli army into southern Lebanon and called for an end to impunity for Zionist aggression in the region. In his social media post, the head of state emphasized that while the UN General Assembly was in session, the danger of barbarity becoming normalized in the Middle East was growing.
