Havana, Oct 10 (RHC) The 7th Congress of the Cuban Association for People with Physical and Motor Disabilities (ACLIFIM) will conclude today in the Convention Palace in Havana.

This Wednesday delegates presented the award for inclusion and equality of opportunities to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

To promote more effective social inclusion and wider access to all social activities in Cuba, representatives of over 74,000 citizens have been discussing various issues, including the organization's operations.

They also discussed the number of ACLIFIM members with capacities or employment ties, membership quotas, and other issues related to organizational strategy for 2020-2024.

Prior to the event, meetings were held in all provinces and the special municipality of Isla de La Juventud, where the problems of ACLIFIM, founded on March 14th, 1980, were discussed.

Initially named the Cuban Association of Physical and Motor Limitations, ACLIFM is a national and permanent nonprofit organization with its own legal identity, composed of people with physical and motor limitations, whether Cubans or foreigners who reside permanently in Cuba.
