Caravan against US blockade of Cuba is convened in Panama

Havana, Oct 24 (RHC) The Martian Association of Cubans Living in Panama (AMCRP) has organized a caravan for the following Sunday to protest against the blockade imposed on the island by the United States for over six decades.

According to Humberto Pérez, the president of AMCRP, the caravan will travel along the main roads of Panama City, starting at the University of Panama and ending at the iconic Belisario Porras Park.

Pérez explained that this protest against the hostile policy comes just hours after the Cuban Foreign Ministry presented a resolution at the United Nations General Assembly demanding an end to the American embargo.

He also said that this is a good opportunity to show solidarity with the government and people of the Caribbean country, which is facing a difficult energy situation and is slowly recovering, despite the lack of fuel and other resources due to Washington's coercive measures.

The caravan will also demand that the Biden administration remove Cuba from a list of countries accused of sponsoring terrorism, which negatively affects the island's commercial and financial relations and the daily lives of the population. (Source: PL)
