Hero of Cuba holds meeting with state mission in Moscow
Havana, Nov 18 (RHC) The Hero of the Republic of Cuba and president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando González, held a meeting today with the members of the state mission of the Caribbean nation in Moscow.
González, who is on working visit to Russia, mentioned at the meeting the importance of the actions carried out by the various organizations of solidarity with Cuba in Russia.
He emphasized that his visit takes place in the context of the 60th anniversary of the Russian-Cuban Friendship Society (RCFS), which was founded by prominent figures of the 20th century like Yuri Gagarin and Ernesto Che Guevara.
The RCFS has been a highly active organization since its inception and has consistently supported Cuba and the fight against the US embargo.
The head of ICAP emphasized the significance of promoting unity at the regional level in Russia, advocating for closer connections between different regions of the Russian Federation and Cuban provinces to ensure that solidarity extends to the entire Caribbean nation.
He also emphasized the significance of fostering the ties of friendship and brotherhood between different generations and passing on these values to the younger generation, so that they can actively participate in this endeavor.
After his meeting with the Cuban state mission in Moscow, González will meet with the deputies of the parliamentary friendship group with Cuba in the Russian State Duma, as well as various activists of the friendship groups in the Federation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
