Use of digital tools is promoted in Cuban education
Havana, Nov 28 (RHC) As part of the closing events of the Third National Cybersecurity Day, a discussion on the use of the Cuban platforms Picta, Todus, and Apklis was held with students from the Vicente Ponce Carrasco Basic Secondary School in the El Fanguito community in Havana.
These applications, designed for the general public, are part of a project by the company z17, which is part of the Havana Scientific and Technological Park. They are key players in the development of digital tools for education in Cuba.
The students at the school expressed their knowledge of the platforms and their commitment to using them more frequently. They now understand that accessing these platforms is done through national data, reducing the risk in cyberspace.
According to Dennis Meriño Menadier, president of z17, Todus is not just a management platform but seamlessly integrates with Moodle, a distance learning tool, which allows students to receive all their educational notifications in one place.
He explained that Picta, a platform for publishing audiovisual content, plans to create a section dedicated to series and animations, particularly anime, aimed at children and adolescents.
He emphasized that in the current context, where digitalization is essential, his company is committed to offering solutions that meet the needs of the population and contribute to the development of the Cuban educational system. (Source: Granma)
