Raul Castro receives Chinese State Councilor

Havana, December 1 (RHC)-- The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raul Castro, received on Saturday Commissioner General Wang Xiaohong, State Councilor and Minister of Public Security of China, who is on a visit to the Caribbean country.

During the meeting, the Cuban leader referred to the historic relations of friendship between both peoples and sent a cordial greeting to the first secretary of the Communist Party of China and president of the Asian giant, Xi Jinping.

He also thanked that nation for its timely collaboration in the face of the complex situation facing the island, reported national television.

The parties ratified the political will to continue strengthening relations and strengthening cooperation in different areas of common interest.

This Saturday, the Chinese State Councilor also met with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who thanked "the support that has been given to the systematic, stable cooperation between the public security ministries of both countries, in addressing issues that are of mutual interest and to face common challenges."     (Source: Prensa Latina)
