Havana, December 1 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez expressed this Sunday his country's solidarity and support for the people and government of Syria, in the face of the recent attacks by terrorist groups against the city of Aleppo.

On the social network X, the foreign minister demanded that the sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity of that nation be respected.

The hostilities against the Syrian people, committed by terrorists led by Hayat Tharir al-Sham, caused considerable damage to the civilian population and worsened the humanitarian situation in Syria's second largest city.

“The extremists of the “Junta for the Liberation of the Levant” group, formerly called Al-Nousra Front, have the support of numerous foreign fighters in their attacks,” said press reports citing the Syrian Ministry of Defense.

The radical groups seized this region in the north of the Arab country last Friday, while the army retreated to the international airport of Aleppo and the Nairab air base, to launch a counterattack along with large convoys of reinforcements that arrived in the area.

The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces announced that military units established a defense line along some 150 kilometers in the north of the province of Hama, where they expelled the terrorists from the towns of Mardes and Qalet Al-Madiq.    (Source: Prensa Latina)
