Havana, December 20 (RHC)-- Tens of thousands of Cubans have turned out to raise their voices against the blockade imposed by the U.S. government.   On Friday, the Havana Malecon seaside drive was once again filled with Cubans fighting for their rights and for a sovereign country with unshakable principles, despite the difficulties.

The Cuban people met from the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, with the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and other members of the country's presidency.

Before the march stepped off, Díaz-Canel said in his speech that this march is an example of how the Cuban people fight for their sovereignty and their principles despite the obstacles that the blockade imposes on the social and economic life of the country in the midst of an increasingly interconnected world.

“Cuba, its people and government are fighting to make their way.  The United States' attempt to undermine the dignity of this people was destroyed with this combative march to defend the honor of our homeland,” he confirmed.

After four in the afternoon, Cubans arrived at G and Malecón, with Raúl and Díaz-Canel in front . Slogans echoed in the distance: “Down with the blockade,” “We are not terrorists.  Take us off the list,” and many other demands for the respect of Cuba and its sovereignty.
