Havana Biennial continues with a variety of artistic proposals

 

Havana, Jan 13 (RHC) The 15th Havana Biennial, the most significant art exhibition in Cuba, is still taking place, with various galleries hosting public exhibitions throughout the city.

The event, which marks its 40th anniversary, will feature the personal exhibition of Kamyl Bullaudy's paintings, installations, and sculptures titled "Pablo and José: It's Called Cuban", which will be inaugurated at 5:00 p.m. at the Provincial Center for Plastic Arts and Design in Old Havana.

On January 16, the Thursday of the Biennial event, a series of discussions and exchanges on contemporary art, will be held at 11:00 at the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center, which is also located in the historic center of the city.

On the following Sunday at 7:00 p.m., the Dedelmu project will be relaunched with the exhibition of Mapping and video arts at the corner of Malecón Avenue and Belascoaín Street.

The organizers have announced that 172 artists from Cuba and 230 from around the world will be participating in the Havana Biennial, under the premise "Shared Horizons".

The program of the biennial encompasses commemorative exhibitions, research initiatives, artistic investigations, special projects, and theoretical events.

It has also ventured into other territories of the country, including the western provinces of Pinar del Río and Matanzas, as well as the eastern province of Holguín.  (Source: Prensa Latina)
