Havana, January 13 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Monday condemned the terrorist attack on the Venezuelan Consulate in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and reiterated his country's commitment to the fight to eliminate this scourge.
On the social network X, the head of Cuban diplomacy also called on the international community to act firmly against those who promote and finance these actions.
The attack with incendiary bombs on the Venezuelan Consulate General on January 11 in the Portuguese city was described as "a fascist attack" by the South American country's Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil.
This act constitutes an attack against the services provided to his fellow citizens in the European nation, said the head of the government headed by Nicolás Maduro in a message on his Telegram account.
Likewise, Gil affirmed that the “irrational aggressions of the deranged groups will not be able to reverse the advances of the Bolivarian Revolution.”
The Venezuelan foreign minister thanked the rapid intervention of the Portuguese authorities that prevented further damage to the building, while expressing his hope that the investigations initiated will allow those responsible to be found and the corresponding responsibilities to be determined.
According to the press, in other European and Latin American countries there were also reports of attacks against Venezuelan diplomatic locations.
