The event seeks to promote anti-racism and gender equality through a combination of biblical, theological, and pastoral perspectives
Havana, Jan 14 (RHC) The Clara Rodés in Memoriam Women and Gender Meeting is taking place at the Martin Luther King Memorial Center in Havana, a space that honors the contributions of Black people to Cuban history.
The event, which began on Monday and will continue until Friday, seeks to promote anti-racism and gender equality through a combination of biblical, theological, and pastoral perspectives. The goal is to contribute to the liberation of individuals within communities.
The members of the Center, along with representatives from the Network of Popular Educators and the Ecumenical Network Faith for Cuba, aim to foster an understanding of racial issues and gender equality through the lens of the experiences shared by the participants.
The workshop not only seeks to revive the biblical, theological, and pastoral foundations for an anti-racist and gender-just approach, but also aims to share the experiences of the anti-racist movement in Cuba today as models of effective practices.
It is a platform for exploration, conversation, and action, focusing on community and grassroots efforts in the context of anti-racism and gender justice. (Source: Prensa Latina)
