Washington, January 14 (RHC)-- The U.S. government on Tuesday removed Cuba from the spurious list of states that it claims sponsor terrorism, a measure that Washington had maintained since January 12, 2021, when it was signed by then-President Donald Trump.
The certification, which revokes Cuba's designation on the aforementioned list, was signed by the outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden, and published by the White House "in accordance with the Constitution and laws" of the United States.
The outgoing president also suspended the ability of U.S. citizens to sue in US courts for the expropriation of their properties in Cuba and lifted some financial sanctions decreed by the previous administration.
