Havana, January 22 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, condemned on Tuesday the decision of the U.S. government to include Cuba again on the list of States that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
In his account on X, the Cuban president pointed out that the new act of aggression by the United States against the Cuban people shows once again the cruel and ruthless nature of the economic siege policy, in which the list of States sponsoring terrorism is a convenient tool.
For his part, and through the same social network, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced that Washington has not even bothered to try to explain this very aggressive step because nothing justifies it. “Everyone knows that these decisions are based on lies,” added the foreign minister.
Both Cuban authorities shared in their message the Declaration of the Revolutionary Government entitled “In the face of the imperialist onslaught, Cuba will win,” dated Tuesday, January 21.
The text states that the decision to reestablish the iron-clad economic war measures against Cuba, which its predecessor eliminated only days before, is a demonstration of the aggressiveness of US imperialism against the sovereignty, peace and well-being of the Cuban population.
It states that this new act of aggression by the United States Government against the Cuban people shows, once again, the true, cruel, merciless objective of these and so many other measures of siege and suffocation, which are applied against the Caribbean island for the purpose of domination.
“It constitutes the reaction of impotence in the face of the inability to bend our will and in the face of the respect, sympathy and support that the Revolution arouses among the peoples of the world,” the declaration reaffirms.
