According to the head of commercial affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, Evisa provides enhanced security and streamlined procedures throughout the entire tourist visa application process

Havana, Jan 24 (RHC) As of June 30th this year, all visitors to Cuba for tourism purposes must obtain an electronic visa through the official website evisacuba.cu.

According to Gihana Galindo Enríquez, head of commercial affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, two options are available – the physical tourist card and the electronic one with Evisa.

The latter provides enhanced security and streamlined procedures throughout the entire tourist visa application process. Through the implementation of this system, Cuba is advancing towards a more contemporary consular system that is tailored to the present day.

The page must be accessed within 72 hours of entering the country. The customer is provided with a ten-character code, which they must enter into the DViajeros platform, generating a QR code to present to immigration authorities.

In the case of Dviajeros, a digital platform for entering Cuba, it can now be completed up to seven days prior to the departure. (Source: Granma)
