Havana, February 28 (RHC) -- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today condemned the decision of the Donald Trump administration to use the US naval base in Guantanamo in its crusade against migrants.

Through his X account, the Cuban foreign minister criticized the "call by the U.S. government to turn the Naval Base in Guantanamo into the front line of the migration war."

Rodriguez also accused U.S. authorities of using an illegally occupied territory that does not belong to them for their continued violations of Human Rights and their double standards in dealing with these issues.

"The U.S. war against migrants in its country does not address the causes of the phenomenon, which are associated with centuries of imperialist exploitation, plundering of our peoples and economic suffocation measures to overthrow legitimate governments", he added.
