
President of Zimbabwe receives official from Cuban Parliament
Havana, March 3 (RHC) The President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, welcomed today the leader of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo.
Mnangagwa and Lazo engaged in a friendly conversation about the long-standing ties between their countries and their shared desire to strengthen them in the context of the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations.
The Cuban delegation arrived in Harare on Sunday to begin their official visit to the African country, having previously been in Namibia to attend the memorial service and state funeral for the country's founding president, Sam Nujoma.
Lazo's schedule included a stop at the Museum of African Liberation and a tribute to the Cuban Revolution's historical leader, Fidel Castro, with a visit to his monument in the city center.
Similarly, Lazo will attend the celebration of the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations, visit the newly established headquarters of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe and hold official talks with its highest-ranking leader. (Source: Prensa Latina)
