Zimbabwe highlights collaboration with Cuba in the media field

Havana, March 19 (RHC) The Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services of Zimbabwe, Omphile Marupi, emphasized the importance of collaboration with Cuba in the realm of media communication.

According to Marupi, the agreement between the Zimbabwean news agency Nueva Ziana and its Cuban counterpart Prensa Latina enables the exchange of content and enhances bilateral relations.

The official is attending Ministerial Forum and the fourth edition of the Patria International Colloquium taking place in Havana, together with the deputy Minister of Information Technology, Communications and Postal Service, Dingumuzi Phuti, and other representatives of the African country.

He pointed out that his delegation is attending the international colloquium to acquire and disseminate knowledge and expertise, with the aim of exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the field of telecommunications.

In his opinion, it is essential to embrace the advancements in technology for online business, which requires the implementation of cybersecurity tools for nations to effectively safeguard their data.

In this context, Marupi stated that despite the prevalence of cyberbullying and other issues in the media, it is impossible to live in isolation. Instead, we must embrace artificial intelligence, create software, and develop new technologies that cater to our needs. (Source: Prensa Latina)
