Havana, March 28 (RHC) Cuba will be represented at the upcoming 34th edition of the Vietnam International Trade Fair, Vietnam Expo 2025, with the largest delegation in the past decade.
The Cuban delegation will be led by Antonio Carricarte, the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce. It will also include representatives from seven organizations in the industrial and agricultural sectors, the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZED), and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment.
According to Maylem Rivero, economic and commercial advisor of the Cuban embassy in Hanoi, the primary objective of the Cuban delegation will be to advance the projects that the country has identified as a priority, and to attract foreign investment for their implementation.
The company Minerva, which specializes in the production, assembly, and sale of bicycles and low-power electric vehicles for transportation, as well as other products, will be among the Cuban entities participating in Vietnam Expo 2025.
Additionally, Nexus Industries, a company that offers employment services and provides guidance on business and investment opportunities, will also be represented at the event.
Other Cuban companies represented at the expo are the import and export company Ilimpex, CubaRon S.A., the Mariel Special Development Zone Office, and the Ministry of Agriculture's Pork, Food, and Poultry business units.
As part of the schedule planned by the Cuban delegation, the tenth meeting of the Cuba-Vietnam Business Committee and a Business Forum will take place on April 2.
The forum will feature presentations on the investment opportunities in the Mariel Special Development Zone, as well as the experiences of Dinvai Construcciones, a company with over 50 years of experience in Vietnam.
Furthermore, the forty-second meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation will be held in Hanoi in the first half of 2025.
The Vietnam International Trade Fair, the oldest annual trade event in the country, has been held since 1991.
This edition will be held from April 2 to 5 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center, with the participation of over 500 companies from 16 countries and territories. (Source: Prensa Latina)
