Havana, April 2 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, urged progress in teacher training and providing comprehensive care to ensure the continuity of this work, which constitutes a fundamental link in the teaching-educational process.

During the annual review of the Ministry of Education (MINED), in which the Head of Government, Manuel Marrero Cruz, and other national leaders also participated, the dignitary instructed the sector's authorities to take even greater care of teachers with better spiritual, emotional, and material treatment, despite the nation's complex economic situation.

At the meeting, it was revealed that the island made progress in implementing the Third Improvement of the National Education System, achieving 38 medals for high-achieving students, opening 77 new "children's playhouses," and improving the subject of history and education.

Likewise, the meeting highlighted a 2024 project by the Citizenship Training Network, which contributes to the training of methodologists and professors at universities working in Cuba and other latitudes.

The attendees outlined the Ministry of Education's priorities for 2025, which they said are aimed at improving educational and political-ideological work, providing comprehensive support to teachers, and advancing the development of the sector.
