Havana, April 24 (RHC) The preparation of healthcare systems for managing epidemics will be the main focus of the high-level segment of the Fifth Cuba Salud Convention, which will bring together delegates from various nations.
The ministers and deputy ministers of Brazil, Cape Verde, and Costa Rica will attend the segment, while participants from Burundi, Zambia, Venezuela, Egypt, and the Pan American Health Organization will debate at the subsequent panel.
Today’s schedule also includes the launch of Cuban publications on pediatrics, nutrition for expectant mothers, the history of anesthesia, and other topics.

This edition seeks to examine public health management frameworks at the global, regional, and local scales; to enhance health systems in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic; and to develop public health policies, with a focus on implementing policies that support the One Health approach.
The event, taking place until Friday at the Convention Center and Pabexpo exhibition grounds in Havana, serves as a platform for scientific discussions on pressing topics on the Health Agenda until 2030.
