Havana, November 5 (RHC-ACN) -- The Distributor of Cuban Medical Services, presented Wednesday in Havana, their portfolio of opportunities at the XXXII International Fair of Havana 2014, FIHAV 2014, which is taking place at Expocuba.
This entity, from the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), showed services and health care programs, characterized by professionalism and humanism, as part of the benefits of the revolution, including countless stories featuring health professionals who carry out missions in various parts of the world.
Cuba undertakes a group of programs to ensure the health, welfare and quality of life of the people that translate into favorable indicators, including life expectancy at birth greater than 78 years, and infant mortality below five per thousand live births, among other achievements, according to statistics from Minsap.
It has a network of centers and research institutes, belonging to the BioCubaFarma business group that develops and produces biotechnological preparations of high intrinsic value, some of which are unique, such as the vaccine against type B meningitis, Heberprot-P for diabetic foot ulcers, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies for cancer, among others.
In this edition, FIHAV is dedicated to promoting foreign investment in Cuba, in order to encourage the development of important sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry.
This commercial exchange brings together about 5,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries. It has been described as the largest in the last 12 years, the most important in the Caribbean and one of the most recognized in Latin America.
