Santiago de Cuba, January 7 (RHC) -– An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale jolted 9.1 km southwest of the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, Cuba's Seismological Institute reports.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.4 km, was initially determined to be at 19.98 degrees north latitude and -75.91 degrees west longitude.
The quake was felt in the city of Santiago de Cuba as well as in the counties of Mar Verde, Chivirico and Ocujal del Turquino, in the same province.
There were no initial reports on casualties or property damage.
