Quito, March 6 (RHC)-— Representatives of rural governments from the Ecuadorian province of Pichincha will travel to Cuba next week to take a first-hand look at social and community projects, public and people's power management.
Cuban diplomat in Ecuador Indira Napoles told reporters that the delegation includes 40 members of the National Council of Local Rural Governments. They will stay on the island from March 9th to the 17th at the invitation of the Cuban Friendship Institute, ICAP.
Ecuadorian government leaders already met with Cuban ambassador to Quito, Jorge Rodriguez, who briefed them on the work of people's power on the island and about the ongoing process to re-establish diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.
