Gaborone, March 10 (RHC-PL) -- The number of Cuban health collaborators in Botswana has almost reached one hundred, with the arrival of a new group of 21 specialists to this southern African country.

The contingent, with 17 physicians, will immediately start working in seven of eight districts where collaborators are, (Gaborone, Molepolole, Lobatse, Mahalapye, Serowe, Francistown, Maun and Selebi-Pikwe).

In total, about 95 physicians and other professionals of the sector are part of a continuous collaboration for 29 years, to benefit of the Botswana population, a fact repeatedly recognized here by the highest authorities.

For 37 years of diplomatic relations between both governments, Cuba has continuously offered support to Botswana in sectors of health, education and sports.
