Paris, April 22 (RHC) – The general director of the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova, met with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, who recently visited France.
Bokova and Rodriguez addressed bilateral links between UNESCO and Cuba and issues relevant to the agenda of that UN organization as well as the results of Cuba in education as published in a recent global report.
They also exchanged views on the Post 2015 Development Agenda and the work of UNESCO in this regard. Bokova stressed the role of Cuba in including the issue of culture and development on the agenda.
The Cuban foreign minister paid a two-day visit to France as part of a tour that includes Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
