Oil Cooperation Between Cuba and Angola Shows Potential

Havana, May 18 (RHC) –- Cooperation between Angola and Cuba on oil drilling marks a "fundamental point" on both states bilateral relations, stated the Angolan Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto.

The official, who was speaking to reporters during the visit to Cuba by the Angolan Vice President Manuel Vicente, added that the cooperation between both countries confirms the political will and the potential to increase.

The State Secretary mentioned that the Angolan oil company (Sonangol) is currently studying potential projects in Cuba.

Meanwhile, the visiting Angolan Vice President Manuel Vicente is scheduled to meet with his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Diaz Canel on Monday. He will also pay tribute to Cuban national hero José Martí at the monument in his honor at Havana's Revolution Square.
