Brussels, June 17 (RHC)-- Cuba and the European Union concluded the fourth round of talks related to the political and cooperation dialogue that both parties have been negotiating since April, with significant results in areas of bilateral cooperation.

The talks were held in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday between the negotiating teams headed by Christian Leffler, Executive Director for the Americas at the European Foreign Action Service and by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno, according to a news release published on the web-site of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

The round of talks, which followed the recent 2nd Summit between the
European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, concluded talks related to the part of the agreement concerning commerce, while significant results were reached regarding cooperation negotiations currently at an advanced stage.

The meetings took place in a constructive and professional atmosphere, and both teams agreed to again meet in September in Havana for the fifth round of talks. The representatives of the European Union and Cuba corroborated the willingness of both sides to keep advancing towards the conclusion of the negotiations in the shortest possible time.
