Havana, July 14 (RHC)--- Juan Jose Bremer, Mexico's ambassador to Cuba, told reporters in Havana that the friendship between his country and the island has an exceptional value.

During a ceremony to commemorate the 52nd Anniversary of the Cuban-Mexican Society for Cultural Relations, held at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the diplomat said: “Nations, like human beings, have things in common; in this case there is a core story, as we have unique traditions, common horizons and a similar vision of Latin America and the Caribbean."

For his part, Fernando Gonzalez, Vice President of ICAP, confirmed the bonds of love and affection between the two nations, and said that the land of Benito Juarez served as a refuge for important personalities of history such as José Martí, Cuba's national hero, and Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
