Washington, July 21 (RHC)-- U.S. citizens and activists from other parts of the world will go to the U.S. capital in September to demand the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, according to activist Alicia Jrapko.

In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, the political activist said that after achieving the liberation of the Cuban Five, global solidarity with the Caribbean country will focus on demanding an end to the unilateral blockade, still in force despite the restoration of diplomatic relations between Havana and Washington.

Alicia Jrapko announced that solidarity groups will return to Capitol Hill from the September 16th to the 29th to lobby senators and representatives, explaining the impact of the criminal blockade and the need to end it. Activists will also demand the return of the occupied territory of the Guantanamo Naval Base and the freedom to travel to Cuba for all American citizens.
