Havana, July 23 (RHC) –- Mexico's Sugar Experts Association, ATAM, and its Cuban counterpart ATAC, have signed an accord to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The document was signed during a meeting in Havana between executives of both associations and establishes the twinning of two sugar mills, while it follows up on other links of that kind previously conceived.
Eduardo Lamadrid, president of the Cuban association said that the two sugar mills will exchange technicians and expertise, and will boost personnel training as part of this accord.
This is the third accord of its kind between sugar mills from Mexico and Cuba. The forum held here debated 16 presentations by a panel specialized in sugar cane cultivation and was attended by one hundred experts.
Israel Gomez, president of Mexico ATAM association called on specialists and technicians to work shoulder to shoulder in order to increase competitiveness in sugar production, which requires talent and contribution of knowledge and experience.
