Caracas, August 11 (RHC) -– Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez urged Latin American and Caribbean peoples to come together under cooperative alliances such as the Union of South American Nations, the Caribbean Community and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America (ALBA).

This, he stressed, is necessary to attain our forefather's dreams of independence, well being and peace for the region.

Rodriguez made the remarks on Monday during an extraordinary meeting of ALBA Foreign Ministers in Caracas. At the meeting, convened by Venezuela, regional leaders addressed the growing destabilization efforts against progressive governments in the region spearheaded by right-wing forces and the representatives of imperialist interests.
