Havana, August 13 (RHC)-- The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, has thanked Cubans for their trust and support of the revolutionary process in the country and the struggle for true independence.
In an article entitled "Reality and Dreams" and published Thursday on the occasion of the 89th birthday of the Cuban leader, Fidel Castro advocated the rights of all men and women to health care, education, jobs, food, security, arts and science.
Fidel stressed that Cuba will never cease to fight for peace and the well-being for all humanity, independent of the color of their skin, country of origin or beliefs.
He also highlighted the contribution of Cubans to guaranteeing the survival of the human species in the modest space we occupy in the universe.
In his article, the Cuban revolutionary leader held the United States responsible for setting the basis of a crisis that, among other disastrous results, threatens to provide a blow to the capitalist economic model. Meanwhile, he said, the United States owes Cuba millions of dollars in reparations for the great economic damage resulting from Washington's economic blockade and other hostile policies.
