Cuba to Attend ParlAmericas Assembly in Panama

Havana, September 1 (RHC)-- Cuba will attend the 12th plenary assembly of ParlAmericas, set for September 4th and 5th in Panama City.

Yolanda Ferrer, head of the Foreign Relations Commission of Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power, explained that another Cuban legislator Gladys López Bejerano has been invited to participate as a speaker in one of the forums of the assembly.

Bejerano will also participate in debates on migration, security and democratic governance.

ParlAmericas is an independent network composed of national legislatures of member states of the Organization of American States (OAS).

It serves as a space for parliamentarians of the Americas to share experiences and best practices on issues of hemispheric concern and to strengthen ties between the countries of the hemisphere through parliamentary diplomacy.
