Havana, Sep 5, (RHC), – Thousands of voices will rise in Portugal against the unjust economic blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for over five decades. This as part of a special session of solidarity with the Caribbean island during the festival of the Avante newspaper.

The traditional event, which began Friday, is this time attended by Gerardo Hernández, one of the Cuban Five, who pays a visit to that European country to thank its solidarity with their cause, while they were imprisoned in the United States.

The progressive event taking place just outside Lisbon concludes on Sunday, with the participation of delegations from over 50 nations. This edition of the fest was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism in WWII.
