Geneva, September 22 (RHC)-- Cuba has once again called in Geneva for a negotiated, peaceful solution to the current crisis in Syria and rejected any attempt to undermine the country's sovereignty.
Addressing the 30th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council, Cuba's permanent representative in Ginebra, Anayansi Rodríguez, said that the international community should adopt joint, effective measures to crack down on terrorism and violence, which affect all peoples and countries alike, and claim hundreds of thousands of innocent lives the world over.
The Cuban diplomat called for a serious commitment on the part of western countries to stopping the illegal supply of weapons and money to terrorist, extremist groups, and also called for an end to the misinformation and slander campaigns in the mainstream media against the Arab country.
